Conley Lowrance oversees books, periodicals, and printed materials at Granary Books, and collaborates with Mary Catherine Kinniburgh on archives. He specializes in post-war, avant-garde American poetry, New York counterculture, and fiction and digital archives. He has attended the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar and Rare Book School, and prior to his work with Granary, spent a decade working in humanities administration at Columbia University and New York University. He is a poet and crime fiction writer whose work has appeared in Bombay GinColumbia Journal, and the Stockholm Review of Books, among others. Take It or Leave It, a series of phonetic/cut up/spiritual “translations” of Arthur Rimbaud was published by Shredded Ear in 2025. Artificial Respiration, an alchemical poem-collage sequence created in collaboration with the artist Sarah Monks, was published by TKS Books in 2020. He lives in Brooklyn.
